The Minister in a clear tone stated that her Ministry is in the concluding phase of the payment procedures and payment of April Stipend would commence early next week.

The N-power beneficiaries while responding to her statement in their social channels expressed dissatisfaction over the inceasant delay in Stipend payment which has taken norm since the transfer of the N-power program to the Ministry.

The volunteers noted that the situation of begging for payment every month end has made the program childish and uninteresting. Others are of the speculation that it may be a strategy to slowly wipe the program by the present administration.

The N-power beneficiaries expressed anguish and a state of helplessness as the Federal employees and National Youth Service Corp members receive their payments as at when due but they would have to beg and cry like 'nobodys' to the Ministry before their Stipends are being paid.

Salisu Ahmed while responding to a post in one of the N-power beneficiaries social handles noted that the current State of payment is a huge disaster to him and his family amidst the lock down and stay at home order by the Federal Government.
We do not have any other means of livelihood. My wife is a nursing mother and everything depends on me. Why are we treated like we are not vulnerable or that we are not important at all. The lock down is bitting us, now payment till next week. This is a huge disaster to me and my family.
Chinenye Onu wondered what their offence might be, that is unforgivable by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs which would warrant such continuous punishment.
E be like say this people don dey punish us oo for what we don't know. Why all these delay na. I don't understand what this new Ministry mean for us oo. God help us ooo.
Ogedemgbe Ade expressed optimism as he believes that everything might end in joy. He encouraged the volunteers to calm down as the Minister has considered it necessary to make clarifications unlike in the previous days.
