In today's update on the Npower 9 months Outstanding Stipends Payment today 2 January, 2024, we will be updating you on why Payment has been disrupted, when payment is continuing for Npower beneficiaries yet to recieve first payment and continuation of the general payment.

The payment of the 9months Outstanding Stipends was a significant source of joy to many Npower beneficiaries as the payment commenced close to the festive season.

However, due to the public holidays, banks have not been able to continue the payment of the 9months outstanding Stipends.

Npower beneficiaries should note that only first payment is still being paid to the beneficiaries. While some banks have completed the first payment, some banks are yet to complete the first payment. That's why some beneficiaries are yet to recieve their Stipends.

The good news is that the holidays are over and Banks have resumed work. The payment of the 9months outstanding Stipends continues within the week. Banks that are yet to complete the first payment will be doing so within the week.

From Next week, all through third week of January, 2024, the general payment of the 9 months outstanding Stipends continues for all beneficiaries especially the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries. Beneficiaries will be recieving more than 1 month Stipend from the second round of Payment.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) took over the payment of the 9months outstanding Stipends to prevent further stories that touch. CBN disburse accordingly to banks, then banks credit funds to the beneficiaries bank accounts. The first single payment was meant to test the payment platform, and all beneficiaries who successfully recieve the 1 month Stipend payment are fit to receive credit alerts for the next payments.

All beneficiaries should remain calm as payment is on going for all eligible beneficiaries.

Read Also:

Following the commencement of the Npower 9 Months Outstanding Stipend Payment on Thursday, many beneficiaries are wondering why they are yet to recieved a credit Alert, whereas beneficiaries who received credit alerts also pressed to know what month the payment was meant for, and why only one payment.

Let's begin with the former. The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation disclosed that not all the Npower beneficiaries are eligible for the 9 months outstanding Stipends Payment.

According to the Ministry, out of the 490,000 Batch C2 Npower Beneficiaries, only 440,000 Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are eligible for the 9 months outstanding Stipends Payment. That means that 50,000 beneficiaries are not eligible for the 9 months outstanding Stipends.

The Ministry also noted that all Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries received 15 months of stipends, of which 12 months Stipends were paid for the service year and 3 months paid as exit package. Only Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries whose payments bounced or were not credited into their Bank Account, will recieve payment in this round of on going payment.

Again, payment is on going. The Nine (9) months outstanding Stipend Payment just started, it's going round. If you have recieved Stipend earlier such as the October, November, December 2022 Payment, including Pre-selected beneficiaries, your credit alert might have arrived yesterday. If it hasn't, kindly note that payment is on going.

If as an Npower Batch C2 beneficiary you have never recieved payment, kindly note that the payment is ongoing, and all outstanding Stipends will cleared.

The 9 months outstanding Stipends Payment will continue till the end of December, 2023. The Ministry is working hard to ensure that there will be no spill-over till next year.

The first payment being made is for the month of January, 2023. It's mearnt to test-run the payment platform. When payment fully begins, beneficiaries may recieve up to 5 months at once.

Kindly exercise patience while your Bank Accounts are credited. All eligible beneficiaries will be paid in full.

Read Also:
